To illustrate just how far we’ve come and build excitement for where the revolutionary streaming service was about to take us, we created a launch film that chronicled the evolution of recorded sound. From the first scratches into Edison’s phonograph, to the digital revolution, every great advancement in music was brought to life in eye-pounding detail. As much about the devices as the people they inspired, youth, sexual, and equality movements played out in each frame, transforming the film into something far greater than a mere history lesson.
